Cluster of transparent yellow crystals of Thaumasite, a rare mineral species related to Ettringite and Sturmanite found in the Kalahari Manganese fields of South Africa. These were found in the 1990s and I used to be able to buy them many years ago from South African dealer Clive Quiet until supplies dried up. I was fortunate to find this specimen recently from someone who had also bought this from Clive Quiet and stockpiled it until now. It's a rare matrix specimen from the find. Even while these were available, matrix specimens were always rare, as most were loose single crystals. Some crystals show some wear, regardless, it's a hard to find rarity.
