For me, a rough & cut pair are like two peas in a pod, like a before and after version to fully appreciate and admire. This set of rough (4.24 ct) and cut (0.77 ct) spinels exude luxury with a side of hot pink-red color that practically glows. The material is from the old finds in the 1990s, long held in the collection of Bill Larson (from his numerous travels there). This is the sweetest pairing of the two together, both with a vibrant raspberry-pink color with red undertones. A dazzling glassy luster and gemminess, both with aesthetics that are pleasing to the eye and complementary to one another in size as well as color. The specimen is sharp and very well-defined. The jewel is gemmy and an absolute firework. Together, you have perfection. From the Bill Larson ("Burma Bill") from his important Burma collection which we obtained in 2020. Cut: 0.77 ct, 5.65 x 5.10 x 3.61 mm; Rough: 4.24 ct, 10.17 x 8.35 x 6.99 mm.
