Azurite Ex Dietrich Mayer Coll. (Ref: 1372)
Tsumeb Mine | Tsumeb | Otjikoto Region | Namibia
111mm x 61mm x 28mm
$9088 *
This outstanding piece features several robust but anyway elegant, super lustrous and multiple faceted crystals of Azurite perfectly perched on Tennantite bearing matrix. These sharp, lustrous, royal-blue to midnight-blue Azurite crystals with hints of gemmy, ´electric-blue´ are very aesthetically clustered on this old-time specimen from the Tsumeb Mine. The largest crystals are measuring 2,5 cm on edge. A few crystals are still starting a slightly pseumorphose to Malachite. This is a highly aesthetic specimen without any imperfections so far I can see to the naked eye. It was part of the Dietrich Mayer collection. Dietrich Mayer is a retired German federal judge. This stunning item comes with a high quality acrylic base.Data last checked on 3rd Apr 2025
