Colorful and rare specimen of Calaverite with purple Fluorite from Cripple Creek. Calaverite is a rare Gold Telluride mineral with the chemical formula AuTe2 and was first discovered in Calaveras County, California in 1861. Some of the most attractive specimens are those with Calaverite combined with bright purple Fluorite, such as this one. The Calaverite crystals reach 4mm in size and occur across the front face, bottom, and back of specimen. Ex.
