Dravite (Ref: FM673)
Mwajanga, near Komolo, Tanzania
40mm x 10mm x 10mm
$450
This is an uncommon oddity of a Tanzanian Dravite, both in color and form. This locality is known for it's 'rootbeer' brown Dravite crystals, but sometimes crystals with other colors were found. This one starts at the base as a transparent pink crystal with a dark central core. Half way up it experienced fracturing and rehealing resulting in a natural bend that is slightly offset. From there, the dark core goes away leaving a pure pink zone, followed by a yellow termination - just amazing! Complete all around and undamaged.Data last checked on 22nd Feb 2025 - specimen may no longer be available
