gem GARNET var. GROSSULAR, CLINOCHLORE (Ref: 21126)

A gorgeous jewel of orange colored grossular garnet crystals attractively growing on olive-green clinochlore and diopside crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. This is an uncommon combo specimen from Jeffrey mine. The grossular crystals to 4mm are transparent, water clear and gem quality with a glassy luster, and pleasing orange color. They have a sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit with rhomboid shape faces - classic for this locality. The clinochlore crystals are well developed in rosette clusters.
