This is a very rich, classic Stibnite specimen from the Slovak locality Kremnica (Kremnitz). Hundreds of steel gray metallic crystals on a typical matrix. Although some of the crystals are broken off, many have beautiful sword-shaped terminations. This is excellent and relatively old material, in no way comparable to the Romanian Stibnite that flooded the western market in large quantities from the 1970s to 1990s. Kremnitz Stibnite specimens have always appeared rather sporadically, but were often equated or confused with them due to their Romanian ´brothers´, although they are many times rarer.
