Gemmy blades of purple Axinite associated with Albite crystals on matrix from the classic European locality once considered the source of the finest
Axinites in the world (now surpassed by some specimens from the Urals and California) though still highly treasured. Some fo the crystals are pure
purple and gemmy, some show green Chlorite, there is also chlorite coating parts fo the matrix. Crystals reach 2cm in size and are in great condition
except for the far right edge where it appears the specimen broke away from the host rock.
