Azurite with Malachite (Ref: SV134)
Bisbee, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
31mm x 28mm x 23mm
minID: XEP-EP0
$900
Blocky, electric blue crystals of Azurite from the historic mines in Bisbee, Arizona. The Azurite occurs as a thin veneer over Malachite after Azurite pseudomorphs, giving the specimen the bright electirc blue coloration. This classic Azurite is similar to specimens from the Milpillas Mine in Mexico. There are areas where the Azurite does not cover the underlying Malachite which appears to be natural growth formations and not damage. It's well crystallized all around, even on the bottom.Data last checked on 28th Jul 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
