This is an aesthetic, 3-dimensional specimen of classic Serifos Island prase Quartz. A lustrous, large green prase Quartz crystal to 39 mm with excellent color and translucency is perched on a matrix with several smaller Quartz crystals. Small Hematites are perched on some of the Quartz. There is a small contact at the base of the larger crystal. As is typical for Prase Quartz from Serifos, the crystals are elongated and do not show individual rhombohedral faces at the ends. Instead, the ends look like rounded bundles of many small crystals. This is of top quality and displays well! My source tells me the zone is mined out, so specimens of this quality will not be around for long.
