Here we have a stunning specimen of Erythrite from the famous Aghbar Mine of Bou Azzer in Morocco. A large specimen, considering the fragility of the species and the generally small pockets in which they are found, which has brilliant magenta-coloured crystals covering the entire display surface and all major crystals are fringed with numerous puffballs of lighter purple Erythrite. The crystals are metallic and translucent, to 2 cm in length. A few of the smaller Erythrite crystals are actually gemmy with a slightly brighter magenta colour. Overall, this relatively large specimen with some dominant crystal clusters stands out from the majority of pieces we saw from recent finds here.Data last checked on 28th Jul 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
