This is a Schorl on Quartz from Cavradi Gorge, Tujetsch (Tavetsch), Vorderrhein Valley, Grischum, Switzerland. From a surprising 2018 discovery, this is a very aesthetic example of "herringbone" style tight clusters of schorl tourmalines, forming a vertical cluster that is perched on a natural pedestal of quartz matrix.
