More than 30 years ago I lost my incisors in that ancient copper mine that’s why I always will remember the Hella Glück Adit in the Neubulach mining district in the northern part of the Black Forest. This specimen is a large piece of silicified sandstone with numerous wide-open cavities covered in sparkling Quartz micro crystals. On top of the Quartz crystals are numerous aggregates of exceptionally shiny, royal blue Azurite crystals with a multitude of crystal faces, finished off with warty green Malachite. For years we have been trying to find similar or better material than this specimen, but unsuccessful except for one single piece. Good Neubulach Azurite are rare, even in reginal collections. This is a top specimen for the locality.Data last checked on 28th Jul 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
