Malachite pseudomorph after Azurite (Ref: 5507)
Seabra | Bahia | Brazil
51mm x 44mm x 38mm
$641 *
This is an amazing specimen with bladed, green rosettes of Malachite pseudomorph after Azurite in an exceedingly aesthetic arrangement on gossan matrix. Numerous botryoidal Malachite clusters, which some consider primary, stud the space between the rosettes. This incredible specimen is from a very uncommon locality: Seabra in the Brazilian state of Bahia, Brazil. One would expect numerous pegmatite minerals from Brazil, but not necessarily Azurite and Malachite. So it was not a surprise, that when these beautiful specimens came on the market in the early 1990s, they caused quite an excitement. And, is it me, or does this specimen not look like an ice cream cone?Data last checked on 28th Jul 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
