An amazing gem quality specimen of V twinned diaspore from Pinarcik, Mugla Province, Turkey. These classic Turkish diaspores are considered to be the finest examples of the species. It is 5.8 carats. It displays a marvelous dichromatism. Depending the light source it is from tobacco-green to violet. The crystals grow in a superb V twinning. The diaspore blades have strong transparency and gemminess. They are very sharp and highly lustrous, with nice striations. Some damages.
