Quartz Var. Smoky (Ref: 5375)

An incredibly aesthetic piece with beautifully water clear, slightly smoky Quartz crystals, with the largest measuring 5.1 cm. I can’t stop drooling about the transparency of the Quartz crystal, but also the strong vitreous luster is incredible. On the crystallographic side, the terminations of the crystals are impeccable and the striations on the prism faces perpendicular to the c-axis are perfect. To complete this characteristic alpine piece, a single whitish Adularia crystal is perched prominently next to the Quartz. Excellent material such as this specimen are now difficult to obtain, even directly from the “Strahler” who collect them in the Swiss Alps, and as a result, they are very coveted.
