An exceptional specimen of gemmy dioptase crystals decorated with water clear calcite crystals from this uncommon locality - Loutete, Bouenza Department, Congo - Brazzaville. The dioptase crystals are brilliantly lustrous and strongly light reflective. Some of them are doubly terminated. The color is intense and rich emerald-green, much better in person than on the photos. They are gemmy with marvelous neon green nuances. Colorless calcite crystals grow above. They are sharp and lustrous. The contrast is very strong. In excellent condition. On acrylic base., Stunning!
