Fluorite on Hematite (Ref: 6341)

We all know that Fluorite from the Tuscan island of Elba is rather insignificant compared to international standards. With that in mind though, this specimen, is an extremely attractive example for Elba Fluorite. Its luster and transparency are unusual given the deposit. The colorless, exactly one centimeter measuring cluster consists of Fluorite cubes of almost the same size with a beautiful almost vitreous luster. Added to this is the excellent contrast to the metallic, black, thin-bladed Hematite, which definitely gives the specimen that color contrast and a certain aesthetic appeal. This is very old material from the collection of Dr. Manfred Schönfelder from Leverkusen, Germany, who collected this beauty himself.
