Fluorapatite with Siderite, Muscovite & Pyrite on Arsenopyrite (Ref: 1745_)

Panasqueira Mine, Panasqueira, Covilhã, Castelo Branco District, Portugal
55mm x 36mm x 20mm
$96 *
Transparent to semi-transparent, lustrous, pale bluish to greenish striated apatite crystals reaching 8mm cover the top of the specimen. Finely crystalline siderite, muscovite and pyrite partially coat the apatite and the matrix comprises crystalline, lustrous arsenopyrite with muscovite and minor chalcopyrite. Some edge contacts but mostly in perfect condition. Lovely aesthetic specimen that displays well, hard to capture the true colour in the photos, better in person.
Data last checked on 16th Oct 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
