A fine, old, large cabinet specimen of pinkish-tan rhombs of Rhodochrosite to 1 cm in size with numerous intergrown Pyrite crystals to over 2 cm in size. Several clear Quartz crystals are also present. Sphalerite(?) provides dark accents, and an unknown black minerals partly coats some Rhodochrosite rhombs, helping create a nice three-dimension presentation. This fine old specimen dates to probably around 1900. Purchased for my own personal collection in 1978. No damage.ex. Bob Griffis collection
