Rare botryoidal Pyrite, with distinct tubular growths betraying its hydrothermal origins, giving it a snail-like appearance. With a distinct sulfur smell, it is likely reactive, but as it was collected in 2003 as has no signs of decrepitation, it is stable. Only a few of these specimens from the Griffin area were collected by Casey Jones, who had the contract at the mine.Data last checked on 28th Jul 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
