Bournonite on Siderite (Ref: 6042)
Julcani Mine | Julcani District | Angaraes Province | Huancavelica | Peru
62mm x 51mm x 34mm
$374 *
What an extremely aesthetic specimen with three excellently crystallized Bournonite cogwheel clusters. They sit wonderfully exposed on beige, disc-shaped Siderite rhombohedrons that measure up to 1.2 cm in size. The Bournonite clusters, which measure 1.3 cm, appear perforated at first glance, however, upon closer inspection one can see the extreme wealth of crystal faces, which, combined with the extremely high metallic luster, creates this effect. Definitely a top specimen, which was purchased by German collector Dr. Manfred Schönfelder, Leverkusen on his visit to the Peruvian Julcani Mine.Data last checked on 28th Jul 2024 - specimen may no longer be available
