Brookite on Quartz (Ref: 6243)

An excellent square, tabular, dark brown Brookite crystal is perched in the center of a Quartz (“Rock crystal”) group which has both, crystal clear and slightly “chloritized” Quartz crystals. You don’t even need a magnifying glass to see, that the 1.1 cm measuring perfect Brookite main crystal is accompanied by smaller ones all over the piece. Furthermore, it displays an incredible vitreous luster and wonderful parallel striations on the exposed prism faces. The sharp Quartz crystals a short prismatic with a vitreous luster that is incredible. A very aesthetic specimen at a reasonable price, in my opinion. All specimens in this update come from a find from the early 2000s. Due to the relative fragility of the Brookite crystals, they are cast in a special water-soluble resin for protection before they are shipped.
