A very outstanding cluster of well-defined Ilmenorutile crystals with a length of 3.2 cm, perched on parallel-grown, jet-black Aegirine crystals. These have a high vitreous luster and excellent, often frayed terminations. As a sculptural highlight, an exceptional doubly terminated Aegirine crystal of the best quality sits enthroned on the brownish Ilmenorutil cluster. Note: “Ilmenorutile” is not an IMA approved mineral species but a Rutile variety, namely a Niobium-bearing Rutile.Data last checked on 4th Feb 2025 - specimen may no longer be available
