Diaboleite (Ref: 6583)

Diaboleit is a very rare lead-copper-halide and here we have an exceedingly rich and well crystallized specimen from the famous Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine of Tiger, Arizona. This is obviously a piece of significance for both species and locale. It also happens to be visually stunning. Intense azure-blue, higly lustrous bladed crystals to 6 mm nearly cover the surface of this outstanding miniature sized specimen. Must be seen in person to be appreciated. Although just a few are slightly bruised, the most of them are intact as well, and the sheer richness is more than I have seen on any other specimen for sale of this very rare material. With magnification we can easily see, that the whole display face is completely crystallized, which is hard to reconize on the pics. This is a KILLER PIECE all the way and such kind of material is exceedingly hard to comen by, especially nowadays and from this locality. This mine has produced the best of species, and this fine display quality specimen has to be among the more important survivors.
