Krennerite (Ref: 205)

Krennerite typically occurs as dull gray patches and smudges, that kind of species, collectors like to call the-grey-and-uglies. This rare gold-silver telluride forms in some of the finest crystals in the world at Sacarîmb, the former Nagyág in Transylvania. Here we have numerous of excellent defined and sharp crystals of rare Krennerite, up to 2 mm with a beautiful striation and high metallic, silvery sheen, richly perched on glistening Quartz and less Rhodochrosite. There are numerous, free standing, multifaced crystals as well as they are embedded in compact grey Quartz. Fine crystals of Krennerite on matrix are virtually impossible to obtain anymore as the mines around Sacaîmb have long been defunct. And this is a great one from there.
