An approximately 1.7 cm long, forest green Malachite spray surrounded by countless smaller acicular Malachite crystals on a drusy gossan matrix which is typical for the Friedrich Mine near Wissen in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. A rare German classic of excellent quality and aesthetics considering that the former iron-copper-nickel mine closed in 1953 after an intermittently 150-year run, and collecting on the dumps is illegal.
